Jubilo Village is a development collaboration between Culver Palms Methodist Church and Community Corporation of Santa Monica (CCSM), a non-profit affordable housing developer. The project represents the actualization of Culver Palms’ mission to do its part to provide affordable housing to the neighboring community. The proposed development will involve the demolition of the existing church building with the construction of new Church building along the street and a new 5-story, 78-unit affordable housing building at the rear of the Church property.
The residential building will be a mix of 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments with 64 parking spaces in a subterranean garage. The church sanctuary building will be the ‘jewel’ of the project with the rear residential building serving as a backdrop for the multi-building church campus. The residential units will wrap around an interior courtyard and an at-grade landscaped rear yard will serve as a Zen garden for residents.
