Talisa Apartments offers a welcoming and supportive environment where families can build stability and thrive. Transforming the site of a former auto repair shop, the project delivers 48 affordable homes for families, including survivors of domestic violence. The design emphasizes safety, dignity, security and community, with a light‑filled, split‑level courtyard serving as the heart of the building.
The upper courtyard encourages connection through casual gathering spaces, seating and a dedicated play zone for children. The lower courtyard provides essential resident amenities, including a learning center, counseling offices, outdoor seating, a conference room, and a spacious community room, as well as a security monitoring room and a break room for staff. A glazed street‑level lobby creates a warm pedestrian link to the neighborhood and positions the building to engage with planned transit stops.
