Aug 2017 Silver Star Apartments Featured in ZNE Video Series
Green Dinosaur, Inc., sustainability consultant for Silver Star Apartments, has created a ZNE series on YouTube, which follows the multi-year journey to construct the first Zero Net Energy (ZNE) multi-family, affordable housing project in south Los Angeles, California. This FSY Architects-designed building of forty-nine apartment homes for veterans is completing its journey to become Living Building Challenge Petal Certified, LEED for Homes Platinum Certified, and Energy Star New Homes Certified. Certain to become a benchmark for high-performance affordable housing, this project demonstrates how exceptionally high performance, high quality homes can be achieved on budget and schedule through thoughtful design and with attention to detail.
